Over a couple of days, I was lucky enough to watch skaters glide across frozen lakes, walk on said frozen lakes, (Safe to say, I took each step very carefully.) and see one of the most breath taking sights, The Johnson canon Icefalls.
These are half frozen waterfalls that still have immense power, well in the bits that aren’t frozen over! The frozen shards of ice covering the waterfall reminded you of how powerful they were before the intense cold took over.
I’ve also included a few photographs from the Mt Norquay lookout over the Town of Banff, through the surrounding valleys and of the ginormous mountains.
The frozen lakes include, Vermilion Lake, Two Jack Lake, Lake Minnewanka and the very famous Lake Louise.
